Gwen Fraser, 71 of Perry Township, went home to the Lord on Saturday, November 21, 2015. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama on September 11, 1944 the daughter of the late Edward and Mildred (Barnes) Blunt. Gwen lived in Massillon most of her life and was a 1962 graduate of Massillon Washington High School. Gwen also attended Kent State University. She worked for Apple Creek Developmental Center for 29 years, and retired in 2005. Gwen loved spending time with her family, reading, shopping, cooking and traveling the U.S. with her husband, Theodore James Fraser, of 51 years of marriage. Along with her husband Theodore, she is survived by her children; Craig Fraser, Todd (Robyn) Fraser and Shayla Fraser; her grandchildren, Nia and Brooklyn Fraser; and her brother and sister, Willie Edward (Corene) Blunt, Jr. and Nonny Blunt. A Home Going Celebration will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. James A.M.E. Zion Church in Massillon. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
