Grethel "Sis" F. Mast

Grethel “Sis” F. Mast, 88, of Massillon, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2017. She was born in Massillon, Ohio on July 22, 1928 to Ira and Gertrude Coss. Sis married Henry Mast on July 20, 1947. They shared 44 loving years together before his passing on October 14, 1991. Sis was a graduate of Washington High School and attended Calvary Baptist Church. She was a volunteer for Massillon Community Hospital for over 20 years. Her greatest passion in life was her family. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Sis will be deeply missed by her daughters, Lydia (Jeff) Warstler and Barbara (Rod) Krotky; grandchildren Kevin (Amber) Krotky, Amanda Helmick, David (Michelle) Warstler, Elizabeth (Joe) Combs, Ben (Vanetta) Mast; great-grandchildren Kylee, Kelsie and Owen Helmick, Carson, Annabelle, and Elliana Combs, Alexa and Marc Mast; and dear friend, Carrie Jones. In addition to her parents and husband, Sis was preceded in death by her son Richard Mast, sister, Marilyn Mast and grandson, Jeff Warstler. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church at 11:30am with Pastor Ryan Duffy officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00am to 11:30am. Burial will be private.
