Gregory James Savchenko

Gregory James Savchenko, 75, passed away on November 12, 2017 in Canton. He was born in Massillon on October 28, 1942 to the late George and Elizabeth (Sauser) Savchenko. Greg was a graduate of Jackson High School, served in the Ohio National Guard and retired from Republic Steel. He loved woodworking, spending time outdoors with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Marcia (Mathes) Savchenko whom he married on May 15, 1987; his children, Shawn G. (Hope) Savchenko and Sharon A. Savchenko; three grandchildren, Dawson, Cole and Ethan; his k-9 companion Cooper; sister, Joyce Savchenko; and special friends, Dave and Mona Zink.
