Gregory E. Mance

Gregory “Greg” E. Mance, age 65, of Perry Township went home to be with the Lord on August 11, 2017. He was born in Canton, Ohio on December 13, 1951 to the late Glenna Pringle and Eugene Mance. He was a 1970 graduate of Lincoln High School. He married Yolanda J. Peak on August 13, 1988 and they shared 29 years together. Greg worked for TimkenSteel Corporation for 36 years until his retirement. He enjoyed traveling, sports, solving puzzles, and Christian music. He was a long time member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where he was baptized. He will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife Yolanda; his daughters Ashley Cherie Mance and Shakia Lyn (Dustin) Holm; his grandchildren Gabrielle, Dominic and Donte Holm and Olivia Mance; his brothers Gary Mance, Tony (Patrice) Mance and Jerry Pringle; his sister-in-laws Lolita James, Blanche Jones and Angela Chappell and his brother-in-law Myron Peak, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by his granddaughter Savannah Mance; mother-in-law Margaret Dampier; his brothers-in-law William “Bill” Peak and Michael Peak. A Homegoing Celebration will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church - 1111 3rd Street S.E., Massillon, OH on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11a.m. Reverend Anthony Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10a.m. until the time of the service. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery.
