Grace L. Anderson

Grace Leone Anderson (Moffett), age 92, of Massillon, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday morning, November 19, 2015 at Major Lane Nursing Home in Millersburg, Ohio. Grace was born on November 1, 1923 in Cambridge, Ohio. She is survived by one sister, Freda Williams, of Massillon, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dennis Anderson on August 8, 1972 and 3 siblings, John Moffett, Bill Moffett, and Jessie Powell. Grace was the loving mother of Jerry (Jerri) Anderson of Millersburg, Ohio and Fred (Angie) Anderson of Springboro, Ohio. She was a devoted grandmother to 7 grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to 14 great grandchildren. Grace had a tremendous love for God and was a woman of great faith. She frequently shared her faith with her family and spent many years serving God in congregations both in Ohio and California, where she spent 12 years of her life. She always made it a point to reach out to the pastors in the churches she attended to make sure they felt loved, supported and to remind them that she was praying for them daily. Her favorite hymn was Amazing Grace and was also the nickname assigned to her by one of her favorite pastors. Grace enjoyed crocheting, reading, food and fellowship. Her greatest joys in life were knowing Jesus and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed but her family is happy to celebrate a life lived well for 92 years and her new home with loved ones she has missed in Heaven. Calling hours will be held from 9:30-10:30 am on Tuesday, November 24 at Paquelet and Arnold Lynch Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Rd., Massillon, Ohio. A funeral service will follow from 10:30-11:00 am.
