Gordon R. Lee age 81 of Massillon passed away Monday July 25, 2005 at Aultman Hospital following a lengthy illness. Gordon was born June 8, 1924 in Massillon to the late James R. & Florence (Rose) Lee. He was a 1942 graduate of Washington High School and attended Kent State University. During WW II he served in the Army in Africa, Europe and the South Pacific. He began working for Republic Steel and retired from LTV in 1987, where he was office manager of claims in the Metallurgical Dept. Following retirement he used his free time reading, and liked to repair most anything. He enjoyed family gatherings, spending time with his friends and his dog Rocky. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Alexander J. Rohr (Feb. 8, 2005) and a brother James T. Lee. He is survived by: Wife Sally (Seiple) Lee of the residence with whom he would have shared 43 years of marriage on September 14th. Daughters Cheryl Hug of the residence Carol (Steve) Rohr of Canal Fulton Elizabeth Lee of Massillon Lisa (Jeff) Robinson of Westerville Sister Annabel (Ralph) Miller of Colorado Springs, CO Grandchildren Jennifer, Sean, Nicholas, Jason and Jamie Mother in Law Ruth Seiple of Massillon A Memorial service will be 11 AM Friday at Otterbein United Methodist Church, the Rev. Philip Raynes and Rev. Paul Gerycz will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the service at the church.
