Gloria Lavonne Stano

Gloria LaVonne Stano, 86, of Massillon, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Gloria was born on April 19, 1934, in Massillon, the daughter of the late Orin and Leona (Kick) Hess. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1952 graduate of Jackson High School. She retired from Central States Cans. She was a member of Brewster Baptist Church. Gloria enjoyed crafts and Christmas shopping for all. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Todd Stano, brother, David Hess, and son-in-law, Kurt Kauffman. She is survived by her daughter Tanya Kauffman; son, Timothy Stano; grandchildren, Katelyn (Nolan) Jones, Abby Kauffman, Lacie Kauffman, Jason Stano, and Amy (Nick) DeVault; 1 great-grandson, Knox Jones on the way; and brother, Marvin Hess. A Celebration of Gloria’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. before the service. Continuing with COVID-19 precautions, all attending will be asked to follow proper social distancing protocol and masks are also required.
