Gloria Johnson

Gloria “Sis” Johnson, age 74 of Massillon, surrounded by her family, went home to be with the LORD March 25, after an extended illness. Born on July 26, 1943, in Canton to the late Dennis and Evelyn Parsons. Retired from Massillon Community Hospital after 42 years of service. In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her son Ronald Johnson Jr. Survived by her best friend, caregiver, and loving husband of 57 years Ronald Johnson Sr.; 3 sisters Roberta (Kenneth) McKinney, Vera (George) Spehar, Donna (Dennis) Pogue; 3 brothers Dennis (Bev) Parsons, Rev. Bill (Pam) Parsons, Rev. Webb (Brenda) Parsons; sisters-in-law Martha Eberhardt and Patty (Curtis) Pickens; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held at Arlington Avenue Church of GOD, 142 Arlington Avenue NW, Canton, where she was a lifetime member. Calling hours will be held in the church on Thursday, March 29, 2018, from 11am-1pm. Services will follow immediately after.
