Gloria H. Buxser

Gloria H. Buxser, age 88, of Jackson Twp., passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013. She was born on February 23, 1925 in Beach City the daughter of the late Philip and Lily Amos. Gloria was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1943 graduate of Beach City High School. She was a 1946 graduate of the Massillon City Hospital School of Nursing. She worked over 50 years as an R.N. at Massillon City Hospital, and for Dr. Edward Hill. She loved singing with both the Sweet Adeline's and the Lincoln Ladies. Gloria and her late husband Richard E. Buxser were charter members of Christ Lutheran Church. Along with her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by her brothers James, Wilson, and Maurice Amos. She is survived by her children Michael J. (Carol) Buxser of Hurricane, WV, Steven E. (Nancy) Buxser of Indianapolis, IN, and Patti (Margie Steinberg) Buxser of Provincetown, MA; her grandchildren, Michelle (Lew) Mustian, Bryan (Abby) Buxser, Nathan Buxser, and Aaron Buxser; and her great-grandchildren, Montgomery, Brandon, and Zachary. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church with her pastor, Rev. Nancy Bacon Officiating. Her final resting place will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
