Glenn P. Keller, 78 of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Amherst Meadows. His death followed a lengthy illness. He was born on May 4, 1927 in Massillon and was the son of Dorothy (Isler) Keller and the late Earl Keller. He was a lifelong area resident. A graduate of Washington High School, he was a starter for the 1943 undefeated state championship Tiger football team and was a co-captain for the 1944 team. Upon graduation, Glenn enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. He then attended the University of Wisconsin. He spent 14 years with the Massillon Police Department, the last 3 years as Chief of Police. He also worked as an agent with the F.W. Arnold Insurance Company retiring in 1989. He enjoyed fishing at his cabin in northern Michigan. He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ and was a member of Clinton Lodge F. & A.M. #47 for more than 50 years. Glenn is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. (May) “Dot” Keller whom he married on February 13, 1949, his daughter and son in law, Linda & John Hauschulz of Bloomfield Hills, MI, his son & daughter in law, Todd & Diane Keller of Minerva, OH, his grandchildren, Gretchen (Alex) Knape of Austin, TX & Heidi Hauschulz of Chicago, IL, his great grandson, Tyler Knape, his mother Dorothy A. Keller of Massillon, his brother Richard (Rose) Keller of Massillon and several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 A.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. James Painting officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 P.M. and on Monday one hour before the service. The Clinton Lodge will hold a Masonic service on Sunday at 1:15 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Glenn Keller’s name to either Grace United Church of Christ, 933 West Main St., Massillon, OH 44647 or V.N.S. Hospice.
