Glen E. Johnson

Glen E. Johnson, age 93 of Massillon, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 9, 2007. He was born on October 27, 1913 in Waterford, Ohio and was the son of the late Arley & Alma (Hepler) Johnson. He was am area resident for most of his life. In 1970 he retired from Republic Steel after 34 years of service. Glen was a member of Newman Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and playing cards Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Gerry Johnson, his granddaughter Kelly Spencer, his brother Dale Johnson and his sister Ina Pinkerton. He is survived by his son Kenneth E. (Nancy) Johnson of Jackson Twp., his daughters, Carolyn (Don) Koprivec of Marshallville, OH and Joyce (Glenn) Chaffin of Bradenton, FL, his sister Faye Cohagen-Miller of Zanesville, OH, 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Newman Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday one hour before the service. Memorials may be made in his name to either Newman Baptist Church or the Massillon Salvation Army.
