Gladys M. O'Brien, 81, of Massillon, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014 at her home. She was born on February 14, 1933 in New Cumberland, Ohio. Gladys had been a waitress at the former Red Lantern. Her home was her pride and joy. She kept it immaculately and was ready to entertain at a moment's notice. Her passion was going to auctions at Rex's Salvage and traveling with the love of her life. She was preceded in death by her son Patrick Black, her parents, Frank and Susie Fry and 2 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by her loving, devoted husband, Carl E. O'Brien whom she married on April 5, 1966, her children, Michael (Brenda) Black, Tami (Kevin) Crawford and Kelly O'Brien and beloved daughter-in-law Veronica O' Brien Baker, her stepdaughters, Sharon (Donnie) Rittenhouse and Carol (David) Horst, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and her sweet dog Summer.
