Gladys M. Dittmer

Gladys M. Dittmer, age 79 of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. She was born in Massillon on October 3, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Claude and Jennie (Perry) Whitmore. Gladys and her late husband, John Dittmer, Sr. raised their son John Dittmer, Jr. (Laura) and Lisa Smith (Keith). They had five grandchildren, Ashley (Jamie) Groetz, Cole (Jaime) Dittmer, Drew Dittmer, Maeghan Smith and Danielle Smith and nine great grandchildren, Jay, Justine, Jessica, Julia, Rylei, Brayden, Aleigh, Quintin and Axel. Gladys is also survived by her sisters, Patricia Rhoads (Ken), Delores Corbin (Pete) and Linda Novotny (Bob). Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Joyce Stewart and great grandson Christian Dittmer. Funeral services will take place on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Newmans Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Dittmer's name to the donors favorite charity.
