Giuseppina Fatigati

Giuseppina Fatigati age 89 of Massillon passed away on Tuesday June 29, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Westerville. She was born July 21, 1920 in Roio, Italy to the late Armando & Anna Elena (Rotolante) Tunno and moved to Massillon in 1971. Giuseppina retired from Oreida Foods and was a member of St. Barbara’ Catholic Church. She was a source of wisdom and strength for family, neighbors and friends with her realistic, pragmatic and compassionate view of the world, which was shaped by the many challenges that she faced, with the same strength and faith throughout her life. She will be remembered for her willingness to help others. Her husband, Olivio Fatigati, with whom she shared 40 years of marriage, passed away on September 30, 1997. Giuseppina is survived by a son and daughter in law, Enzo & Kathy Fatigati of Massillon and a daughter and son in law, Maria & Scott Sawatzki with whom she lived for the past 13 years in Westerville. There are four grandchildren: Andrew Fatigati, Kara Fatigati, Alexandra Sawatzki and Olivia Sawatzki. There are two brothers in Italy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday at St. Barbara’ Catholic Church in Massillon, her pastor Fr. Thomas Cebula will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
