Gertha M. Fouse

Gertha M. Fouse, age 85 of Massillon passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on June 23, 1923 in Bowdon, GA and was the daughter of the late Roxie and Sallie (Hendson) Stephens. She was a Massillon resident for most of her life. Gertha was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Fouse, her son, David Lee Boykin and 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her granddaughter, Sharonda T. Boykin of Canton, her sister Eddie M. Williams of Massillon, her niece and caregiver, Frances Stephens Bryante of Carrollton, GA and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A home going service will take place on Friday, August 15th at 12:00 Noon at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 12:00 Noon.
