Geraldine G. Huwig

Geraldine G. Huwig, age 89 of Massillon, passed away Friday, June 15, 2007 at Affinity Medical Center-Doctor's Campus. She was born in Massillon on October 9, 1917 and was the daughter of the late LeRoy & Margaret (Reikowsky) Curtiss. Geraldine and her sister, Kathleen graduated from Washington High School in 1935. She married, John Huwig the love of her life on February 18, 1943 and they spent 43 years of marriage together. She loved the Cleveland Indians, the Browns, the Massillon Tigers and doing needlepoint. Gerladine loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John. She is survived by her sons and daughters in law, John & Stefie Huwig and Paul & Susan Huwig both of Massillon, her grandchildren, Kim Fellows, Chris Huwig, Mark Huwig, Melissa Chaney & Melanie Helderman, 4 great grandchildren and her sister Kathleen Stevens of Massillon. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brookfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 PM.
