Gerald "Scott" Brothers, age 58 passed away on, Sunday, March 06, 2016. He was born in Massillon on December 16, 1957 to the late Gerald and Myrtle (Martin) Brothers. He was a 1976 graduate of Fairless High School. He married Debra Marie Blair on August 15, 1980 and they shared 35 years together and she survives him. Scott worked as a Sales Manager for a variety of companies and eventually owned his own business - Scan It Plus. He played and coached Softball for many years and was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame in January 2011, his love of the game gave him the opportunity to coach his grandson in baseball with the team Andrew's Army. Scott also enjoyed traveling and was a big NASCAR fan. Scott is survived by his wife Debra; his children Frances Shelton, Jennifer Brothers (Kash), Matthew (Brittany)Brothers, Timothy (Kelli)Brothers and Samantha (Daniel) Herold; his grandchildren Preston and Dillon Brothers; his brother Thomas (Sheila) Brothers; his sister Rebecca (Donald) Starcher and a host of family, friends, Colleagues and players he coached in Softball and the game of life. In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his brothers William and John Brothers. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 09, 2016 at 11a.m. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 08, 2016 from 5 to 8p.m and 1 hour prior to the service.
