Gerald S. Warrick age 79 of Massillon passed away Tuesday October 30, 2007. He was born April 3, 1928 in Barnesville to the late Earl & Lizetta (Ullom) Warrick. Following school he entered the Navy and received an honorable discharge. He worked for his dad drilling water wells and moved to Massillon with his wife and daughters in the early 60’s. Gerald was a long time employee of Cleaners Hanger Company and rose to the level of assistant superintendent. His leisure time was spent working with wood and making things. He will be remembered for being ornery and his sense of humor. Gerald was a member of American Legion Post #168, VFW #2792, F & AM Lodge #89 all of Barnesville. In addition to his parents his wife Mary Lou passed July 28, 2007 and eight brothers and sisters: James, Lester, Cedora, Beulah, Glenn, Kenneth, Norman and Margaret. He is survived by two daughters and sons in law:Kathy & Jim Myers and Karla & Jimmy Staaf all of Massillon; four grandchildren; Melinda, Erica, Maranda and Malissa; and ten great-grandchildren; Taylor, Deven, Hailey, Dylan, Logan, Luke, Kaitlynn, Brannon, Zachery and Dakota. He had a special canine friend, Sadie. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Saturday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. At 1 PM Saturday there will be a graveside service at Batesville Cemetery in Batesville, OH. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Massillon.
