Gerald P. Helline

Gerald P. Helline, age 80 of Massillon passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 at his residence with his family at his side. Gerry was born November 25, 1935 in Massillon to the late Edward & Alice (Sonnhalter) Helline. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and Kent State University. Gerry was proud to have served with the U.S. Marines and was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He and his wife Rosalie were owners of Helline Financial Services. Gerry will be remembered for the love he passed on to his family and his generosity and willingness to help others. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Fr. Bill Helline and Edward Helline. Gerry is survived by his wife Rosalie (O'Neill) Helline with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. They have four children: Gerald (Lori) Helline, Timothy (Jacqueline) Helline, Jean (Michael) Raymondi and Steve (Susan) Helline; brother John (Patty) Helline (who was his best friend) and sister-in-law Nancy Helline. There are eight grandchildren: Gerald III, Heather, Bridgette, Sarah, Quintin, Daniella, Brody and Joseph. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 AM Oct 21st at St. Joseph Catholic Church, His pastor Fr. Edward Gretchko and Fr. Raymond Paul will officiate.
