Gerald L. Bailis

Gerald L. Bailis, 89, passed away on March 11, 2022, following an extended illness. He was born in Wooster on March 18, 1932 to the late Floyd and Eula (Dehoff) Bailis. Gerald retired from Ohio Bell. He was a veteran of The United States Navy and a member of Clinton Lodge 47, F&AM. He was dedicated to his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Marian (Henry) Bailis, whom he married on April 5, 1953; their children, Timothy (Darlene) Bailis, Gale Bailis, David (Diane) Bailis, Larry (Rachel) Bailis and Kevin (Leanne) Bailis; grandchildren, Stephanie, Laura, Elizabeth, Collin, Adam, Ariel and Kevin; and great-grandchildren, Owen, Charlotte, James, Asher and Christian. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Bailis; and brother, Donald Bailis. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 6pm-8pm at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 11am in the funeral home. A private family burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
