Gerald "Jerry" Jewett, 73, of Canton and Ft. Myers, FL passed away suddenly on Nov. 23, 2016 in Florida. He was born in Canton to Basil and Muriel (Witmer) Jewett. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and Walsh College attaining a degree in accounting. Jerry also proudly served in the United States Army. Jerry worked most of his career and retired from The Hoover Company in N. Canton. He loved getting together with family, watching his grandkids play sports, and playing golf with his friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Crum of Chicago, IL. He will be greatly missed by his wife of eighteen years, Pamela (Winslow) Jewett, daughters: Tiffany (Joseph) Clemente of Akron, Theresa (Al) Mistysyn of Richfield, and Jeri Lyn Hasanaj of Akron. Step-children: Hank Ahrens of Canton, and Renee Myers of Akron. grandchildren: Daniel, Leah, and Jonathan Clemente, Michael Siegrist, Victoria and Matthew Mistysyn, Matthew and Eden Hasanaj and Sevastian Lucien. brother, Thomas (Marynell) Jewett of Delaware, sisters: Jude Schario of Louisville and Camille "Cheech" (Ray) Santoro of Alliance, many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 2nd from 6-8 at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Canton at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3rd. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society (LLS.org)
