Gerald ‘Jerry’ Baus

Gerald ‘Jerry’ Baus age 54 of Massillon passed away Monday May 26, 2008 at Affinity Medical Campus Doctors Campus. Jerry was born April 23, 1954 in Massillon to the late Gerald A. & Almeda (Ray) Baus. He was a 1972 graduate of Washington High School and served in the US Army. For the past 18 years he was employed by Stark Truss. Jerry was in the Massillon Pool League for 36 years, and played softball for the Sportsman’s Club. He was a devoted sports fan following the Tigers, Browns and Indians. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Mark Baus in 2005. He is survived by two sisters and a brother: Helen (Willard Gravius) Yannayon, Diane (Michael) Duke and James (Tammy) Baus all of Massillon. There are 12 nieces and nephews, fifteen great nieces and nephews and one great great nephew. Friends may call 6-9 PM Wednesday and one hour before the service on Thursday. Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, Pastor Tommy Groom will officiate. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
