Georgia Lee Eshelman-Rose

August 10, 1945 — March 30, 2024

Georgia Lee Eshelman-Rose, 78, of Sebring went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring.

Georgia was born on August 10, 1945 in Canton, Ohio. She was the daughter of Leona (Teufel) and Roy Carrothers and has been a resident of Lake Placid since 2012, moving here from Ohio.

Georgia was a retired teacher with the Canton City, Ohio School System where she taught English. She received her doctorate degree from University of Akron, Ohio while teaching. Georgia was an active member at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Sebring. Georgia started a bible study group at the Paradise Village, where she enjoyed learning and teaching the bible, teaching music, there was never an instrument she could not play singing karaoke, performing in plays and dancing. She loved to be with her family and friends anytime they could get together.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Jack J. Eshelman and she is survived by her second husband, Gordon Rose, son; John Eshelman and wife Mary, two grandchildren: Michaila and Andrew and a sister; Theresa Moritz (Albert).

Visitation will take place at Paquelet Funeral Home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. A funeral mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 11, 2024 at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Massillon. Following the funeral mass, Georgia will be laid to rest next to her husband Jack at Calvary Cemetery.
