George A. Murray

George A. Murray, 86, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away March 26, 2025. He was born on January 21, 1939 to the late James and Burdella (Dunlap) Murray.

In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia; brothers, Dale, Ted, Ken and Ron; sisters, Judy and Beverly; and his aunt Sarah and uncle George who he loved very dearly.

George worked many jobs throughout the years, he fondly remembered the 19 years he spent at Bethel Temple before his retirement. He also worked at the Pro Football Hall of Fame for many years. George was a devoted member of Bethel Temple Church, and then later attended Grace Fellowship where he spent many years. He was a devoted Bible scholar and enjoyed reading and studying the Bible whenever he could. He also enjoyed cars, staying involved with the community, and spending time with his children.

George is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Diane Murray; sons, George (Shenna) Murray, Scott Murray, and Kevin Murray; brothers, Fred (Sylvia) Murray, John (Cathy) Murray, Mike (Donna) Murray, Gary Murray, and Thomas (Annette) Murray; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

George will be laid to rest on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The graveside service will begin at 1:00pm in the chapel, with Pastor Mike Snodgrass officiating.
