George Henry, Jr.

George Henry, Jr., 70 of Navarre, formerly of Akron, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018. George was born on January 25, 1948 in Pikeville, TN the son of the late George W. and Louella (Stephens) Henry, Sr. George was a 1966 graduate of Kenmore High School. He was a United States Marine Corp. veteran and served our country during Vietnam. He attended the University of Akron where he studied Art. George worked as an insurance agent for Farmers Insurance Group until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his three dogs. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jami Casto in 2015. He is survived by his wife, Nancy J. (Frazier) Henry whom he shared 47 years of marriage; his son, Chad (fiancée Sonia Smith) Henry; Andrea Smith; and son-in-law, Alan Casto. In keeping with George’s wishes cremation has taken place.
