George A. Swisher, Jr.

George Swisher, Jr., age 50, of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014. J.R. was born on July 20, 1963 in Massillon, the son of the late George A. and Betty (Budd) Swisher. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Washington High School. J.R. was an avid fan of wrestling and especially loved watching WWE. He is survived by his siblings, Robert (Helen) Swisher, Sally Swisher, and John Swisher; his uncle, Herbert Swisher; and his nieces and nephew, Abigail Elardo, Abraham Swisher and Darian Chapa. A Celebration of George's life will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Dr. Roger Alber will be Officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. Friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday from 12-1 p.m. before the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army in George's memory.
