Gene Ray Dunn

Gene Ray Dunn, age 71 of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at his residence. He was born on July 29, 1938 in Akron, Ohio the son of the late Walter and Ruth (Riordan) Dunn. Gene was a 1956 graduate of Washington High School. Following his graduation from high school he completed his apprenticeship at Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 94 where he was a 50 year member, retiring in 1998. Gene loved to bowl and enjoyed golfing at the Elms. He was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church. He is survived by wife, Sharlene Marie Dunn, of 47 years of marriage; his children, Jim Dunn, Theresa Glennon and John (Robin) Dunn; his grandson’s, Zack and Andy Dunn, Cory, Troy and Mike Glennon and Jonah Dunn; his grand-daughter, Hannah Dunn and great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 30, 2009 at St. Barbara Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. with his pastor, Fr. Thomas Cebula Officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
