Gena Evans Gossett

Gena Evans Gossett, age 100, died Monday, May 19, 2008 at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville, Ohio. She was born in Canton, Ohio on March 8, 1908 and was the daughter of the late Clem & Nellie (Breece) Slusser. She was a retired school teacher, having taught at the Fairless and North Canton school systems. She was a member of St. Timothy Episcopal Church. Gena’s memberships included the Massillon Women’s Club, the D.A.R., the Massillon Museum and Springhill Farm. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William T. Evans and Eugene Gossett and her brother Duane Slusser. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
