Gaynell J. Butler

Gaynell J. Butler, 75 of Perry Township, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Rose Lane Health Care Center. She was born on September 19, 1937 in Boggs Township, PA to the late Cloyd Orrville and Edith (Gallagher) Woods. Gay was a graduate of Washington High School. She retired from the advertising department at The Independent. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Massillon. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Earl Huff and her brother Delbert Woods. She is survived by her children, G. Paul (Carol) Huff of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and Tami L. Huff, Christina G. (Tom Johnson) Huff and Shannon L. (Gary) Cochran all of Massillon, eight grandchildren, Cameron (Andrea)Huff, Courtney Cochran, Quinn Cochran, Nathaniel Cochran, Stephanie Cochran, Abigayle Huff, Kobie Cochran and Chandler Huff-Johnson and brothers Addison (Juanita)Woods and Norman (Cheryl) Woods both of Massillon. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, family and friends. A service to celebrate her life will take place on Thursday at 11:00 A.M at First Baptist Church of Massillon with Dr. Roger Alber officiating. Entombment will follow at North Lawn Cemetery in Peninsula, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. and at the church on Thursday one hour before the service at the church.
