Gary A. Lynch, 61 of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015 following a yearlong battle with kidney cancer, with his family by his side. Gary was born on October 27, 1953 in Massillon the son of Gene Lynch and Colleen (Kirby) Tharp. He was a lifelong resident of Massillon and a 1972 graduate of Washington High School. Gary retired from Republic Steel Union Drawn Division after 35 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church where he was an Elder and Deacon. He was an avid football fan and a member of the Massillon Tigers Touchdown Club. He was active in many Masonic organizations including: Past Commander Massillon Chapter #4, High Priest of Hiram Chapter #18, Past Illustrious Master of Canton Chapter #35, and Clinton Lodge # 47. Most of all Gary enjoyed the time he spent with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his mother Colleen (Kirby) Tharp. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Gayle (Gamary) Lynch; his children, Allan (Megan) Lynch and Kristi Lynch; his grandsons, Camden and Jarrett Lynch; his father, Gene (Joan) Lynch; his brother, John Lynch; his sisters, Karen (Randy) Curtis and Patrice (Larry) Cook; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Donna & Ernest Gamary; his brother-in-laws, Richard (Karla) Gamary, and Dave (Linda) Gamary; his step-siblings, Christine, Jeff and Jim Laughlin. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church. Rev. Steven Gower will be Officiating. Inurnment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gary's memory to Cleveland Clinic for Kidney Cancer Research: P.O.
