Garnet A. (Elliott) Iceman, 87 of Massillon, died on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at Franklin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Rocky Mount, VA. She was born on February 2, 1922 in Clark, Ohio and was an area resident for much of her life. Garnet was a 1940 graduate of Jackson High School, a member of First United Methodist Church and volunteered for many causes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Iceman, her son Ronald Iceman, her sister Priscilla Robinson, two infant grandchildren, her father Ralph F. Elliott, her stepmother Alma Elliott (later Craig), her mother Lucinda S. (Fair) Elliott (later Andrews) and her stepfather George W. Andrews. She is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Larry E. and Beatrice Iceman of Wirtz, VA and Dennis G. and Laurrie Iceman of Fredericksburg, VA, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, her twin sister Margaret Seifert of Jackson Twp and her brother Dr. G. Robert Andrews of Conover, NC A service to celebrate the life of Garnet Iceman will take place on Thursday, September 3rd at 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Leslie Peine officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:30 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. An additional viewing will take place on Thursday from 9:30 – 10:00 AM at the church. Her sons, their spouses and her twin sister will accompany her casket as it is brought to the altar.
