Garee L. Daniska

Garee L. Daniska, age 57 of Jackson Twp passed away suddenly Monday at her home. Garee was born January 4, 1957 in Columbus to James & Janice (Peters) Giovanini. She was raised in Alliance and graduated from Alliance High School in 1975, then graduated from Mount Union University (1979) and Akron University. Garee was the corporate treasurer for Myers Industries in Akron. Currently, she is the controller for the Leo A. Dick & Sons Company in Canton, OH. Garee will be remembered for her love of animals, gardening, golfing, wine making and culinary adventures. She especially enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She was an award winning gardener recognized by the Canton Garden Club with their 'Award of Excellence'. Her garden was featured on the Canton Garden Club Tour of Gardens. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband on cruises to their favorite destinations in the Caribbean and Bermuda. Garee is survived by her husband of 31 years, Gary L. Daniska. Her mother Janice Giovanini of North Canton, her father and step mother, James and Eileen Giovanini of Louisville and a sister Cynthia Jobe of North Canton. In addition a sister in law, Carole Fox and brother in law, Paul (Janis) Daniska and many nieces and nephews, and her furry family: Jack, Brie, Daisy, Opie and Felix. She will be missed by ALL. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 – 8 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon and from 10 AM until the service at the church. Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday at St. John Lutheran Church in Massillon. Rev. John Telloni will officiate.
