G. Frank Scassa

G. Frank Scassa, 72 of Massillon, passed away on December 25, 2018. He was born in Massillon on April 28, 1946 and was the son of Ettore and Florence (Caracillo) Scassa. They preceded him in death. Frank was a graduate of Washington High School and remained in touch with his classmates throughout the years. His love of cooking was passed on to his children and grandchildren, but the most important thing to him was his family. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Scassa. He is survived by his children, Gina (Jared) Mayle, Nicole (Dave Sawyer) Hoffman, Frank Scassa II and Andrea (Steve Rastetter) Scassa and his grandchildren, Logan and Lewis Hoffman and Luciana, Mirabella, Isadora and Josephina Rastetter. Also surviving are his sister-in-law, Mary Scassa and his niece Stephanie Hatheway and nephews, Ettore and Nick Scassa. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
