Fredrick "Earl" Slater

Fredrick Earl Slater, 64 of Massillon, Ohio passed away Friday, December 11, 2020, unexpectedly of cardiac arrest. He was born January 23, 1956 to the late Fredrick Edward & Edna Marlene Slater(Little). He was employed at numerous places, however he was most noted for giving a helping hand where ever needed. Be it family, friend or strangers. Earl as he was lovingly known, had no strangers for long, as they became friends. His laughter, zest for life, acceptance of the good, bad or ugly was an example for all. He will be sorely missed by his siblings, Patricia D. (John) Beadle of Dover, Ohio, Carol L. (Richard) Reynolds of Massillon, Vincent A. (JoAnne) Slater of East Greenville, Robert E. Slater of Minerva and Michael W. (Candi) Slater of Massillon. He also leaves behind a huge circle of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Cremation has been entrusted to Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral home. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial will be held at a later date.
