Frederick "Ted" O. Goist

Frederick "Ted" O. Goist, age 84 passed away on May 13, 2015. He was born in Hubbard, OH to the late Leonard and Mildred Goist on April 05, 1931. He married Ruth Riley April 12, 1958 and they shared nearly 55 years together until her passing in 2013. He proudly served his country as Seabee in the Navy during the Korean War. Ted worked for The Beaver Excavating Company for over 30 years as the Maintenance Supervisor. He enjoyed farming, his grandchildren and his John Deere Tractors. He is survived by his children; Karen (Keith) Thomas, Deborah (Rob) Floyd and James Goist; his grandchildren Jacob, Kyle, Hayley, and Matthew Goist; his great-granddaughter Maci Goist; his sisters Sally (Ralph) Cunningham; Betsy (David) Ohlin and his brother Richard (Jan) Goist. In addition to his wife and parents, Ted was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law Leonard and Donna Goist. In accordance with Ted's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Donations can be made in Ted's memory to a charity of one's choice.
