Frederick "Rick" J. Steiner

Frederick "Rick" James Steiner, 80, of Belpre formerly of Massillon, passed away on December 2, 2022 at Belpre Landing and Nursing & Rehabilitation. He was born on June 23, 1942 to the late James and Esther (Brenner) Steiner at Massillon, OH. He was a 1960 graduate of Washington High School. On February 14, 1987, he married Cynthia D. Palmer-Oliver and they shared 35 years together.

He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. Rick worked for Superior Meats and he retired from Hoover.

He enjoyed woodworking, Massillon Tigers Football and boating. Rick was known as a sensitive and caring person, who was devoted to his grandchildren. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Rick is survived by his loving Wife, Cynthia; his daughters, Margaret (Chris) F. Bambenek, and Kelly (Harold) M. Miller; his son, Michael (Christina) J. Oliver; his Grandchildren Greg P. Bambenek, Christie S. Bambenek, Ally T. Oliver, Noah M Oliver, Carly J. Miller, his Great-Grandchildren, Seanna L. Bambenek, Kypton A. Bamenek, his sister, Rachel (Michael) A. Torchia; his brother, Donald (Helen) H. Steiner as well as a host nieces, nephews, family and friends. In addition to his parents Rick was preceded in death by his son Charles "Charlie" F. Steiner,

A Celebration of Rick's life will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday, December 08, 2022 at 4p.m. Pastor Joe Burkhardt will be officiating. The family will recieve friends at the funeral home from 2p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the AIDS Foundation.
