Frederick Freddie Evans

Frederick D. Evans, 62 of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Frederick was born on January 20, 1955 in Canton, the son of the late Richard and Elnora (Hill) Evans. Freddie worked for O.D.O.T. for several years and also as a general maintenance contractor. He enjoyed fishing, singing, grilling, basketball, and playing cards. He loved spending time with his family. Freddie was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Evans. He is survived by his wife, Pamela D. Evans; children Casey (Kimberly) Evans, of FL, Shawna Evans -Tindell of FL, Tamara Evans of Canton; companion, Bernice White; special children, Alonzo and Shantell White; grandchildren, Sydney, Arriona, Brooklyn, Savannah, Lucas II, and Ashawati; special grandchildren, DeiAshia, Kole, and Jaelyana; brothers, Richard and Jeff Evans and Jimmy (Jackie) Evans; sisters, Janet and Joanne Evans; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends Tim Newman and Greg Carpenter. A Home Going Celebration will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
