Frederic "Fred" Anania

January 29, 1950 — April 8, 2014

Frederic "Fred" Anania, age 64 passed away suddenly on April 08, 2014. He was born in Wooster on January 29, 1950 to the late Sam and Mary (DiOrio) Anania. He was a 1968 graduate of Washington High School. He married Becky Fothergill on December 11, 1971 and they shared 42 wonderful years together. Fred served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He retired from The Timken Company after 30 years of service, where he worked in the Bearing Department. He was a past volunteer of the Richville Fire Department. In retirement he enjoyed working in his garage and restoring classic cars and spending time with his grandchildren. Fred loved hosting car shows for the Perry D.A.R.E. program. He was especially proud of his work on the D.A.R.E. Car. He also loved volunteering at the Wilderness Center. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Stacey (Dan) Reed and Matthew (Stacey) Anania; his grandchildren Jacob and Luke Reed and Olivia and Grace Anania; his sister Linda (Ronald) Braun and a host of family and friends. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 10 A.M. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 6 – 9 P.M and an hour prior to the service. Prior to the visitation on Sunday evening there will be a Last Alarm service presented by the Stark County Firefighters' Association at 5:45 P.M. Interment at Richville Cemetery.
