Fred G. Flowers, 77, of Massillon, passed away on July 28, 2019 after an extended illness. He was born on September 14, 1941 in Reynoldsville, West Virginia to the late Fred and Zana (Hughes) Flowers. He proudly served his country in the National Guard for six years and was listed as active duty for 6 months. Fred married the love of his life, Sheila Ury on October 14, 1962. They shared 57 wonderful years together. Fred worked and retired from J & L Steel in Louisville. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Sheila; son Michael & Kim Flowers and daughter Melanie & Todd Moore; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; longtime friends, Larry Adams and Rich Barnhart. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his siblings Martin Flowers, Charles Flowers, Peggy Crock and Mary Zane Palmer. A celebration of Fred’s life will be held on Sunday, August 4th at 2 p.m. at the American Legion, Post 548, 925 W. St. Louis Court, Louisville, Ohio 44641.
