Fred E. Feit

Fred E. Feit, 60 of Massillon, passed away on July 2, 2015 following a brave battle with cancer. He was born on July 12, 1954 and was the son of the late Wilfred and Jean (Ess) Feit. Fred is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pamela (Rininger) Feit, his children, Tracy (Daniel) and Freddy, grandchildren, Seth, Jared and Benjamin, sister Vicki, brother Dennis and cherished nieces and nephews. Fred was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed biking and hiking, He was a longtime member of The Legends Golf Club, Hilltop Hikers (Statistician), Folks on Spokes, Stark County Bicycle Club and the Akron Metro Parks Hiking Club. Fred hiked the Grand Canyon from rim to rim. He retired after 28 years from Indian River Juvenile Correction Facility as a welding instructor. Following retirement he worked at Home Depot for several years as a cashier. Services will take place at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Tuesday, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Chip Belanga officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills. There are no calling hours. There will be a celebration of Fred's life at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or the donor's favorite charity.
