Franklin "Danny" Daniel Marteny

Franklin “Danny” Daniel Marteny, age 65 of Navarre, passed away on June 14, 2021. Danny was born on September 3, 1955, in Zanesville, Ohio to Henry and Arlene (Fisher) Marteny. He worked for many years as a long-distance truck driver. Danny loved being on the road and having the opportunity to see the moonlight over the beach. He was always very humble, big-hearted, and grateful. He took pride in everything he did from cleaning his truck to making his yard look immaculate. Danny loved being a Papa to his grandchildren and enjoyed swimming in the pool with them. He is preceded in death by his parents, loving wife, Laurie, and brother, Henry “Jr” Marteny, II. He is survived by his children, Tracy (Vaughn) Freeman, Melissa, Kristy, Amanda (Devon Schweizer), and Jason (Stacy) Marteny, grandchildren, Kayla and Tyler Britton, Kaitlynn, Ava, Collin, Madison, Aydan, Carter, and Brooke Marteny, and Adalyn Schweizer, great grandchild, Kayden Shirley, sister, Sandra (Pat) Oberholzer, nieces and nephews, Sherry (Dan) Mata, Scott (Ashley) Oberholzer, Tammy (Robert) Loveday, Chris and Allen Marteny and mother-in-law, Judy (John) Bayer. Friends and family may come to call on Friday, June 18, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home. Services will be on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. also at Paquelet.
