Franklin D. Farley

Franklin D. Farley, age 73, of Massillon passed away Friday December 3, 2010 at Affinity Medical Center. He was born March 26, 1937 in Warford (Summers County), WV to the late Hubert & Lelia (Williams) Farley and lived most of his life in Massillon. Franklin retired from Republic Steel in 1994. He was a member of the Massillon Baptist Temple and the Sons of Herman. He found pleasure in tinkering with most everything, watching his grandkids play sports and swinging with his dog Lilly. He was an avid gardener and loved to share with his neighbors. Frank was a loving and devoted caregiver to his wife. In addition to his parents a sister Carol Webb passed away in 2007. Franklin is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann (Lucas) Farley; four children, Debbie (Bob) Bonner, Dan (Suzie Tisevich) Farley, Diane (Tom Trogdon) Grunder and Franklin (Julie) Farley; there are eight grandchildren: Matt Bonner, Shanelle (Sunnie) Farley, Airielle Farley, Jarrad Farley, A.J. Grunder, Bo Grunder, Taylor Farley, and Tory Farley. In addition his uncle Ed (Lee) Farley, sister in law Nancy Westfall, a brother in law Gene (Mary) Lucas and a brother in law Jack Webb. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon; the Rev. Cecil Thayer will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Memory Garden. Friends may call from 9:30 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
