Frank W. Puffer

June 2, 1931 — September 20, 2008

Frank William Puffer of North Lawrence, Ohio, died peacefully at home on Saturday, September 20th. He was born on June 2, 1931 in Conneaut, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Philip and son-in-law, Timothy Wantz. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marijo (Dunnington) Puffer. Also surviving with great affection and respect are daughter Marilyn Puffer of Wadsworth; son Thomas (Debbie) Puffer of Wadsworth and daughter Jean Wantz of Jackson Township. His loving grandchildren are, Mindy (Ryan) Valentine; Kristi (Nicholas) Whalen; and Scott Wantz and fiancée Robin Laster. Frank has 5 great grandchildren who adored their “Pa”. They are Joelle, Lillian and Gabrielle Whalen and Madilyn and Trent Valentine. Also surviving Frank is his younger brother George (Carolyn) Puffer of Seven Lakes, NC. Frank is a veteran of the Korean War and was stationed in Japan. He was an electrician for Norfolk-Southern Railroad for 40 years and was also employed by Pep Oil for 15 years. Frank loved fishing with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and neighbor Louie. He considered himself (and rightfully so) a tour guide of Amish Country to family and friends. He loved to amble through flea markets and country auctions. He was a man who could fix just about anything, paid great attention to detail, and was always willing to give a helping hand. This gentle, sincere, playfully teasing man will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A service to celebrate the life of Frank W. Puffer will take place on Wednesday, September 24th at 1:30 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Edd Matako officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. Messages of support and sympathy may be sent to: www.arnoldlynch.com Arnold-Lynch - A Golden Rule Funeral Home 330-833-4839
