Frank Kozma, 83, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away peacefully, with family at his side on May 15, 2024.
He was born on May 15, 1941 in Budapest, Hungary to the late Llona and Ferenc Kozma. In 1956 he came to the United States and met the love of his life Lois in 1962 who he married later that year. He served in the Army National Guard and later became a U.S. citizen in 1973. Frank was a lifelong resident in Massillon. He was an avid bowler including past president of Massillon Bowling Association, and coach of the Massillon Tiger High School bowling team. Frank was employed with Tyson Roller Bearing Company (SKF Industries) for 27 years and retired in 2000 from M.K. Morse. He was a 40 year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #190. Frank was a loyal Cleveland sports fan/follower, member of the Massillon Tiger Booster Club and Sideliners, and youth baseball coach.
He is preceded in death by his parents Llona and Ferenc Kozma of Budapest, Hungary.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Lois (Ketjen) Kozma; his three children, Michael (Cindy) Kozma, Traci (Randy) McLaughlin, and Dan (Amy) Kozma; his brother, Arpad (Eva) Kozma of Budapest, Hungary; nephew, Timothy (Grant) Hufler; nieces, Tammy Hufler and Denise Ketjen; grandchildren, Ryan (Samantha) Kozma, Candice Hufler, David and Kaylee McLaughlin, Joshua, Hannah and Logan Kozma, Amanda (Tony) Gaglione and Jason Frye; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 19, 2024 at the funeral home.
