Frank P. Franchini age 75 of Massillon passed away Sunday August 13, 2006 at the Cleveland Clinic. He will be remembered as a man who had great pride and love for his family; felt blessed by so many wonderful friends and for this, he was grateful. Frank was born August 21, 1930 in Massillon to the late Dante & Olga Franchini and was a 1948 graduate of Washington High School. He served in the Air Force for 4 years and received an Honorable Discharge. He began working at Buckeye Trophy in 1959 and retired in 1995. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the K of C. Frank enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader, a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and recently inducted into the Canton Fast Pitch Softball Hall of Fame. A son, Danny Franchini passed away July 28, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Helen (Homrok) Franchini. Children and their spouses: Andrea Franchini, Susan & Joe Polumbo, Kathy & Mikel Heck, Dana & Darren Cugno, Paula & Andrea Miccinesi, & Paul Franchini. His grandchildren that brought him much joy: Sara, Emily, Samantha, Matthew, Frankie, Nicholas, Mary, & Tommaso. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon, his pastor Fr. Raymond Paul will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
