Frank J. Adore, age 86, of Massillon passed away January 4, 2011 at his residence. He was born July 12, 1924 in Windber, PA to the late Michael & Carmella (Runco) Adore and moved to Massillon in 1946. Frank served in the Army in the Pacific during WW II and received an Honorable Discharge. In 1982, Frank retired from Goodyear Aerospace in Akron as a tool & die maker after 31 years of service. Frank was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a long time usher at the 8:30 AM Sunday Mass, the Holy Name Society and was recognized with the Schrader Award. In addition he was a member of K of C #553, Bishop Massillon Assembly Fourth Degree, the American Legion Post #441 and VFW #3124. To keep active and fit, he enjoyed being part of the 6 AM workout buddies at the Massillon Recreation Center. Frank will be remembered as a devoted ‘Steelers Fan’, eager to play cards and play golf anytime – anywhere. Frank will be dearly missed by his wife of 61 years, Freda (Waikem) Adore; a brother Mario (Delia) Adore of Windber, PA and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, his pastor Fr. Raymond Paul will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family would appreciate contributions to either: St. Vincent de Paul Soc.
