Frank D. Mitchell

Frank D. Mitchell, age 77, of Massillon passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 26, 1933 in Eva, WV. Frank was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean Conflict where he received a Purple Heart, and many other honors and medals. He had been employed as a heavy truck mechanic for Superior Meats. Frank was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church, and was currently a active member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Janet (Downing) whom he married September 5, 1965; daughters, Cheri (Brian) Hinkle of Barberton, and Chanin (Larry) McElroy of Massillon; grandchildren, Kristina Mitchell, Isaac Beatty, Bailey McElroy; great-grandchildren, Lily McCardle, Jacob Daniel and many other family members. Visitation will be held Tuesday October 26th from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Jeffrey W. Coggins officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
