Frank E. Burkett, Sr., age 77 of Jackson Twp., passed away on Friday, September 8, 2006 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born in Massillon on February 3, 1929 to the late Thomas and Anna Berens Burkett. He was a 1947 graduate of Washington High School. Frank served in the Navy Reserve and in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Timken Co. in 1990 after 39 years as a millwright. He enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with his family in his swimming pool. Frank was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by; sisters, Lucy Nelson, Alice Sokol, and Anna Rohr, and brothers, James Burkett, and Thomas Burkett Jr. He is survived by his wife, Alfreda (Wojcinski) Burkett of 56 years, children and spouses, Frank E. (Bonnie) Jr. of Navarre, Kathy (Tim) Stebler of Massillon, and Thomas (Sue) Burkett of Marrietta, GA, grandchildren, Frank III (Christy), Amy (fiancée Don), Tim II, Jennifer, Katie and Kristy, step-grandchildren, Tyler and Hope A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Calling hours will be at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Monday from 6-8 p.m. Fr. Anthony Wojcinski of St. Leandor Parrish, Pueblo, CO will be officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
