Frank Anthony

Frank Anthony passed away peacefully with family by his side on January 5, 2012 at the age of 91. He was born July 21, 1920, to the late Joseph and Anna (Sabo) Anthony. Frank was a Iife-time resident of the canton area and a 1938 graduate of McKinley High School. Frank served with honor in the Army Air Corp during World War II and retired after 45 years with Republic Steel. He was a Master Mason and 25 year member of Trinity Lodge #0710. Frank loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He loved to drive his Cadillac to his cabin in PA. Frank was a strong, yet gentle man who adored his family. He was loved by many in his life for his sense of humor, loyalty, and selflessness. Frank is preceded in death by his wife Bertha (Macioch) Anthony and brothers Joseph, Lewis and Leo. He is survived by his son Joseph (Sandra) Anthony of FL., daughter Barbara Anthony (Swiger) of Massillon, Ohio, Joseph and Wendy Mason of PA; grandchildren Marc (Angela) Anthony, Matthew Anthony, Stacey (Jose) Bustillos, Michelle (Erick) Norris, Lukas Mason; 5 great grandsons and many nieces and nephews. The Anthony family would like to express their gratitude to the Allay senior Care Center and Community Hospice for the exceptional care our father/grandfather received from each of you. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in his memory to Community Hospice 408 – 9th Street SW Canton, Ohio 44707. Calling hours will be held at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Monday, January 9th from 12 until 1 P.M. Chapel Services and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
