Frances L. Lewis, 88, of Massillon, passed away at home, follwoing a brief illness on June 2, 2024.

She was born on March 3, 1936 to the late Carl and Lena (Dunlap) Midkiff in Yawkey, WV.

Frances retired from Gaslite Villa Nursing Center in 2011. She was a member of the former Southside Baptist Church. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved to travel, especially with her husband on their motorcycle.

Frances is survived by her loving children, Tammie Derr, Robin Slayman, Cindy Highbin, and Cathy LeBarre; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ann Mabe and Dorothy McClure.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lewis; and sisters, Carla McMasters, Lea Bushor, and June Gage.

A graveside service will take place on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 1:45 pm in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to Warren Twp. Community Center, 3986 New Cumberland RD NE, Mineral City, OH 44656
